Industrial Control was started by John and Doris Ermatinger in the 1970's out of their basement. Now some 46+ years and two new buildings later, we sell over 12 million dollars in automation components and solutions annually in the state of Michigan.  Sons Karl and Mark Ermatinger took ownership of the business in 2006 and have been running operations ever since. 

Our business has grown organically because of our constant dedication to providing the best service to our customers, creating a measurable return on their investments, and always supplying the highest quality products.

On June 1st, 2023 MCE Automation acquired the stock of Industrial Control Service, Inc.
We are excited to join a much larger Automation distributor to help expand our services and grow our markets.
Karl and Mark Ermatinger will continue to run the company with MCE’s help.

On January 1st, 2024, Mark Ermatinger will become the President for two years of AHTD.org, (Association of High Technology Distribution. Mark has served on the Board of directors for ten years, volunteering his time and dedication to our field of automation,
